Since there hasn’t been much activity here on this forum for a while, and I just released version 0.5 of my TUI, I thought I would make a post about it and share my experience with Ratatui.
I think there aren’t many features left to implement in Rustmission (prove me wrong!), and I’ve already implemented many that aren’t strictly necessary, like configurable keybindings and even customizable icons in the app.
Although the project is over 7,000 lines of code (7KLOC), it feels like much less. I love how, for some weird reason (at least for me), Ratatui makes creating responsive user interfaces so much easier than using HTML and CSS. There are many other TUIs for Transmission, but I think mine is the best—not because I’m doing anything exceptionally well, but because I happened to choose the best tools for the job.
Ratatui devs and maintainers, you absolutely rock! <3
